GCSE EXAM RESULTS!

Thursday was the day of my GCSE results and lets just say I was absolutely petrified! It wasn't until the night before that it really hit me that my results were today and I have never had a worse nights sleep!

I managed to get:
Maths - B
English Literature - A
English Languages - B
Science (Core) - B
Science (Additional) - C
History - B
German - B
Philosophy and Ethics - B
Drama - A

I'm so so proud of myself after all of the work I've put in and I never expected these grades in 1000 years! I honestly don't know how it happened but here's a couple of tips I have to coping with stress during exam season:

1) Start revising earlier than you think you should in small amounts, even just an hour a night from around Christmas then slowly increase as exams get closer.
2) Evenly split social time and revision. Don't completely cut out socialising or you'll be ridiculously stressed!
3) Try different revision techniques e.g. flashcards, mind maps, revising and reading back to someone. Even try revision days with friends!
4) Don't be afraid to ask for help! Parents are there to support, friends are going through the same thing as you and teachers are your closest thing you have to cheating so use them!!

Thank you for reading! I hope that if you got your results this year that you got what you wanted!

WHAT'S IN MY TRAVEL BAG?

Hey! I'm back!

Since it's holiday season and most people will be going away somewhere. I go away on the 5th of August to Turkey for 2 and 1/2 weeks with my mum and 2 cousins so I'm very very excited for that!! I might do a little blog post about it when I come back for you if you want? Leave a comment if you would like me to!

I like to try and keep my travel bag as light as possible otherwise it just becomes a burden. A Backpack is perfect for the plane and keeps your hands free.

Electronic Devices:

- Phone & Headphones
Perfect for music and playing games

- IPad
Rent a movie on iTunes!

- Nitnendo DS (sometimes)
This kind of depends on the day of travel but I often take my old nintendo to play games on holiday anyway

Beauty:

Flights are perfect to give yourself a bit of spa treatment but it just depends on how long your flight is! I like to take a bit of Vaseline and sometimes moisturiser in order to keep my skin hydrated

Other:

- Books
- Colouring Book
- Magazines
- A Pillow (get one to attach to your hand luggage!)
- A Scarf (It doubles up as a blanket!)
- Hand wipes/ Tissues
- Gum
- Sunglasses
- PASSPORT (Please never forget this)

I hope you enjoyed this post! Leave a comment below telling me what your one travel bag must is!

SWEET 16!

Hello!

I would firstly like to welcome you to my blog 'My Life Being Kirsty'! I hope you enjoy my content and don't forget to check regularly for posts! You can subscribe to my blog too if you would like by entering your email for notifications when I post!

Anyway, I thought I would make this first blog post around my birthday! I turned 16 last week which felt like a long wait as most of my friends had their birthdays months ago! I am lucky to have such a wonderful family and friends which made my day/week incredible.

I spent my actual birthday with my best friend where we found ourselves on a spontaneous trip to the park to get ice cream, but when we got there, there wasn't an ice cream van. Damn! Later in the week my mum, gran and I all went for a birthday tea at one of my favourite local restaurants and to round off my week I had a party on Saturday with a few of my friends and my cousins! It was just amazing!

I was so so lucky to receive the presents I received off my family and friends (especially when I only asked for money!) I am going to write another post of my gifts later on in the week so keep an eye out for that!

Thank you for reading! I hope you enjoy my blog, subscribe and become a regular here!
